“The Complete Guide to Property Investment” is an essential read for anyone venturing into the buy-to-let market. As someone new to property investment, I found this book incredibly insightful and practical. It covers all aspects, from understanding market trends to executing successful investment strategies. What I particularly appreciated were the real-life examples and case studies peppered throughout the book. These helped me grasp complex concepts and apply them to my own investment decisions. The authors’ approach is clear and methodical, making even the most daunting topics accessible. The book also addresses the current economic landscape, offering up-to-date advice on navigating challenges and capitalising on opportunities. This forward-thinking approach sets it apart from other guides that may focus solely on traditional methods. Overall, “The Complete Guide to Property Investment” exceeded my expectations. It’s well-researched, practical, and filled with actionable insights. Whether you’re a novice or seasoned investor, this book deserves a spot on your shelf.

This was my first book about property investing that I bought and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It is well written in a way it keeps you engaged and interested. It gives a sense of positivity and encourages one to want to invest in property right now! The only thing is currently I still lack the funding but this book has been very helpful and will I'll use it for reference in future when I put the theory into practice.

I bought this book as we're starting to think about our retirement fund. The book is a helpful guide that's very easy to follow. The chapters are organised by stages of the process, so that you can either read through from start to finish, or pick up the part that applies to your current position. We had already started our own research before reading the book but a) it was good to get a sense check on some of things we were already doing and b) there were things that we hadn't considered, that we are now exploring. The book is not meant to be exhaustive in detail or give all the answers, but it does cover the major areas in enough depth to gain a reasonable understanding and allow you to decide what could work for you and your circumstances. Even the tax section wasn't too hard to follow, which was a relief. At the end of the book there are also links to additional resources like newsletters and podcasts, which are a nice bonus and I've signed up to these. All in all, a really good starting point. Using the resources offered through the book/online has got us past the analysis paralysis stage. We're now pretty clear on what we want, what we need to achieve and critically, what we should be prepared to walk away from - so for us, the book has been money well spent.

As a newbie to the property investment field, I found this book very informative and easy to read. The author's sense of humour is wonderful. The main focus of the book is Buy to Let properties, and on this topic, it is packed full of useful information. It's a bit light on other forms of property investment.

I'm a complete novice and bought this book to start learning about properrty rental. I didn't want something to heavy just an easy read that highlights areas to learn about so I become informed. The tone is just right for me and the small chapters made it easy to easy and follow. I've bought the Complete Guide and For Beginners books. Would recommend.

It’s a great read this book! I’ve also read some of the other less complimentary reviews notably the ones complaining about torn or loose pages. Really? How does that fall at the fault of the author? Anyway I enjoyed the read and as a reasonably successful and growing property portfolio holder for over twenty years this book is full of valid points. Not everyone has the ‘common sense’ as some Reviewers noted unless it’s pointed out and I think he is right to state the blatantly obvious even if just for the sake of clarification. Basically experienced investors can draw comfort from this book in so much it validates giving credibility to many of the decisions good and not so good you may have made during your journey. As for stock market vs property? For me there’s less control, witchcraft and volatility to deal with in property (have one foot in one camp and one in the other) but what do know other than I am more than satisfied with the property’s performance and happy to leave it at that.

The book unlike others in its subject is quite comprehensive. It takes you from the beginning of your journey by encouraging you to clarify your goals (with a free resource of a video) and then gives you a number of strategies that requires from minimal to significant effort as well as according to the size of your pot. It does not offer rigidity but to find your own sweet spot that works for you. What I particularly liked about this book is it tells you the pros and cons of what he discusses in detail, for example why being a yield junkie can have its drawbacks? the benefits of leverage and how to mitigate risks as well. It addresses your fears on mortgages and explains why an interest only mortgage might be actually safer. I must admit I suffer from analysis paralysis and I am rereading the section of your area and deal searches again, these are supported with online videos as well. The book as I said covers the whole journey from beginning to end from financing, to property acquisition, to managing, to even disposal. Finally, this book sets itself apart by being realistic on how property prices behave in cycles and teaches you to mitigate your risks in a potential downturn. This book is a key resource in my new found interest in property and offers some information that you sometimes will not get on high end courses, so you get more for your money as well. Buy it and read it!

I have been looking at a lot of property related resources lately and I have to say that Rob Dix (and his trusty side-kick Rob Bence) stand head and shoulders above their contemporaries in the same field. I have given a five star rating as I believe the information given is honest, trustworthy and free of the hard sell/self aggrandisement that so sadly often accompanies propery investment resources.

I really like this book. As I am not a native speaker of English, I am very happy with the simple language of the author. Towards the end of the book the language is getting more exigent. So it was also gut for me to improve my English. The author outsourced the multimedia content to his website. That's great! You get some extra content for free. You find everything you need to start investing in properties. If you want even deeper know how you need more specialised books (law, taxes,...). I specially like that the author is so straight and simple. Many people become arrogant and become posers when they are getting rich and successful. It is a really helpful book.
