It covers key topics like budgeting, saving, investing, and avoiding debt in a way that’s easy to understand and relevant to their lives. The book uses relatable examples and practical tips to help teens develop a strong financial foundation early on. I really like this book and plan to have my kids read it. It is written in a more conversational tone that will be easy for teens to read. The author covers the psychological aspects of money in a really well-written and accessible way. I especially liked the warnings he gave about money. There is the regular and very important sections like 'needs vs wants' and ideas to earn money, but then he adds in extra bits such as how to identify 'false causes' that ask for support and other sage advice that teens can benefit from.

It is great to see books specifically educating kids on finances. I like that this book covers scams, which are important today. I don't know that I agree with teaching how to work the stock market given the risk and gambling nature of it, although the author views themselves as a seasoned stock-market investor, so they are knowledgeable in that area. I think stock-market investments should be aimed at adults.

The book goes over all the basics on money, budgeting, saving, credit, investing etc. This is quite a readable text which I think teens will be able to go through and accept. The examples are good ones, not intimidating. There are references for apps. It is a bit long, so the teen who is reading it is going to have to go chapter by chapter, read it through and digest it. They are not going to speed through the whole book. For a teen that is going to go through the whole thing, it is a good guide and reference, 156 pages of it. The section on investing does not list the apps that allow one to do investing on the stock market at no charge, but the index funds are very well described and that is super useful.

Nowadays its normal to find teenager owing a digital assets like YouTube Chanel, blog, social media account and making insane amount of money. Teenagers at my academy loves learning about finance and investment, I teach them about finance and from this book I found very good syllabus for this. I found valuable skills for them (mostly digital skills), skills to help them make their own money. Each of my student has at least one income skill and they make money out of it. Then i only teach them how to save, spend and invest.
