I am 18 years old and soon to embark the independent student life which I know comes with a lot of financial worry. I was keen to learn more about finances, budgeting and savings and heard this book was a great, easy-to-understand guide to learn more about money. I read this in a few days and I ADORED this book - so many financial concepts from different types of current accounts, saving accounts, taxes, pensions to budgeting skills that I never truly understood were cleared explained and now I feel like a total financial nerd, and loving it. The second part of the book was on Money and Love & Wellbeing and Laura felt like my big sister telling me how to feel about money, and making me feel empowered to take control of my finances. This book has taught me so much, and I feel much more in control with money. Knowledge is power, and this book gives you knowledge! Written in a digestible, light-hearted way with personal stories scattered throughout, I love this book and recommend to everyone, no matter how clued up you think you are with finance or how much you feel you are 'destined' to always be terrible with money. A must-read.

The book itself is smaller size and bigger font. I thought it was ok probably a notch to basic for me. - It’s very practical and simply written - the advice is quite bite size and it starts from minimal understanding - the cover is super cool v good design I would recommend this to someone in their twenties who wants a good practical overview - not for the more advanced financial person Hope this helps

This book is so good that I think everyone in the UK should own a copy and be encouraged to read it annually. I also think that this book should be included within the high school curriculum for those in year 10 and 11, it would certainly be far more beneficial to young people who are about to start out in the world than subjects like history and geography. I am in my late 30's, run a business and have always felt well informed when it comes to money, however I have learned so much from reading this book that it has quite literally changed the way I think on many money related issues. After finishing the book I quite literally feel like I have just finished a year at college and passed the final exam with flying colours. As well as the practical benefits of this book, which are many, the book is thoroughly enjoyable, extremely interesting and very very well written. The book is so well written that I think everyone who reads this book will benefit from it regardless of their level of education. The book is so good that I have also downloaded the audiobook to listen when driving. I am extremely grateful to Laura Whateley for writing this book and then taking the time to update it.

I skipped half the book because the information was not relevant to me and most of the useful stuff was sort of glossed over and not explained in any detail at all. Decent read if you know absolutely nothing about anything. The text itself wasn't very engaging and quite bland. Wasn't really worth £4 as all the information is easy to find online.

As a forty year old I did not believe this book would add any further value to my appreciation or understanding of money. However I was very wrong. This book is filled with great insights in to what can be a confusing world of money and it has opened my eyes to a few areas that I can focus on that will no doubt enrich my future. I just wish someone had handed me this book in my early twenties as I'm sure it would have prevented me from wasting thousands of pounds and also being more considerate of my future financial planning. A worthy read!

Did not know this book was going to use facts based in Europe but nonetheless I learned a lot about what I should do and how to plan for the future. There was even a very interesting part of the book where the author explains some ideas on how to talk about money with your significant other and how it is rarely talked about that really opened my eyes.
